Oboe and English Horn Repair

I have been specializing in double reed repairs since 1998. I offer the following services for oboe and English horn repair:

    • Repairs to loose or broken tenons
    • Repairs to leaking tone holes due to open grains, chips, or cracks
    • Repairs to cracks by pinning, banding or gluing
    • Repairs to loose posts
    • Repairs to leaks through the grains under posts and through the body
    • Repairs to torn or missing key corks
    • Repairs to loose or broken keys
    • Repairs to worn, torn, leaking, or chipped pads
    • Repairs to tone holes and key heights to correct intonation or voicing problems
    • Repairs to worn, weak, or broken springs

I offer the following maintenance and restoration services:

    • Cleaning of octave wells and vent caps
    • Cleaning and polishing of tarnished keys and posts
    • Cleaning of key mechanisms to remove old oil and dirt
    • Adjusting and lubricating of key mechanisms
